The Tale of Takshashila
(Graphic Novel)
The Concept: A digital graphic novel reimagining the world’s first university, Takshashila. The narrative is driven by a dialogue between a curious traveler and a mysterious guide, serving as a vehicle to explore the forgotten marvels and profound history of this ancient educational epicenter.
Visual Language: Developed a distinct "Indigenous Modern" color architecture utilizing grounded, earthy tones offset by vibrant, classical Indian accents.
Historical Grounding: The environmental design relies heavily on deep research into ancient Indian architectural motifs, temple carvings, and folklore, translating them into stylized, dynamic backgrounds.
Narrative Pacing: The layout balances detailed, expressive character linework with expansive, atmospheric panels, pacing the reader's journey through complex historical concepts without relying on dense, academic text.

The Lingashtakam
The Concept: A 10-page sequential illustration project acting as a visual translation of the Lingashtakam, a revered 8-stanza Sanskrit hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva. The core challenge was to visually articulate the profound spiritual weight and aesthetic beauty of the Shiv Linga across multiple pages without feeling repetitive.
Structural Symbolism: The book features a bespoke cover design, an introductory visual plate, and 8 distinct illustrations corresponding directly to the 8 verses of the hymn. Each page explores a different facet of the Linga’s divine geometry and cosmic significance.
Atmospheric Continuity: To unify the 8 stanzas, the illustrations utilize a consistent, deeply atmospheric rendering style—playing with ethereal lighting, shadow, and scale to evoke a sense of quiet reverence and ancient mysticism.
Text-to-Image Harmony: The project demonstrates a high level of editorial restraint, ensuring the intricate digital brushwork supports, rather than overwhelms, the sacred verses it accompanies.
